Brightwater, one of the newest all-inclusive, luxury retirement communities by Senior Living Communities, a leading provider of retirement communities throughout the southeast, has hired Barbara Burke Gans to handle Marketing and Sales for Independent Residences.

In her new role, Gans will assist with the sales activities of Brightwater and provide day-to-day administrative support to the sales and marketing office including cultivating prospects and referral sources, completing database entries, conducting tours, completing sales reports, coordinating marketing events, creating closing documents, preparing home purchase orders and options lists and assisting resident move-ins.

Prior to joining the Brightwater family, Gans worked in many positions for the University of Vermont, including: Residential Complex Office Manager and Real Estate Coordinator. Gans has also worked as a Communication Coordinator for Lake Champlain Islands Chamber of Commerce in North Hero, Vermont; Training & Benefits Coordinator in Human Resources Department for Norkus Enterprises Inc. in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey; a licensed Real Estate Agent for Coldwell Banker in South Hero, Vermont and Crossroads Realty in Toms River and Brielle, New Jersey; and an international flight attendant supervisor for Transamerica. Gans holds a Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, from Johnson State College in Johnson, Vermont and a Certification in Gerontology from the University of Vermont.
