Brightwater Retirement Community Welcomes New Executive Chef

Brightwater, a luxury, all-inclusive retirement community located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is pleased to announce the addition of Joe Caldropoli as Executive Chef/Director of Dining Services.
Caldropoli is responsible for supervising all aspects of the dietary programs within the campus. He operates the kitchen and sets the dietary menus in accordance with the established policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Caldropoli is responsible for the recruitment, employment, performance, evaluation, promotion and discharge of all dietary staff as well as monitoring of the dietary budgets and cost constraints, under the supervision of the Executive Director.
Caldropoli graduated from Westchester Community College in Valhalla, New York, with an AAS Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Prior to joining the team at Brightwater, Caldropoli founded and directed Costal Catering and Events in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Food & Beverage Director/ Assistant General Manager of Bald Head Island, Ltd. In Bald Head Island, North Carolina; District Manager of Filk International in Rye Brook, New York; Food Service Director of ESPN in Bristol, Connecticut; Food Service Director Nine West Group of Filk International-Compass Group NAD in White Plains, New York; Executive Chef Manager of Caldor in Norwalk, Connecticut; and Owner and Chef of Simply Delicious Gourmet Deli in Brookfield, Connecticut.
