Brightwater is a beautiful master-planned Continuous Care Retirement Community (CCRC) that is currently under construction in Myrtle Beach, SC. Senior Living Communities is developing the $100 million-dollar community construction project comprising of approximately 60 acres. The Brightwater community is surrounded by the Carolina Bay preserve and the Lewis Ocean Bay Tract, both natural, protected pieces of land that will remain undeveloped. The retirement community will feature Low Country architecture and beautiful coastal landscaping.

As the only CCRC in Horry County, the community will employ approximately 120 persons when it opens, and approximately 180 persons at completion, which will be in spring 2009. Brightwater believes that the most vital ingredient to happiness is good health. To this degree, Brightwater has set itself apart from other communities as it has established a partnership with medically-renowned Wake Forest University that will provide residents with a state-of-the-art wellness program.

A spacious, grand clubhouse, a healthcare clubhouse, a wellness center which houses the innovative wellness program along with state-of-the art fitness equipment and indoor and outdoor pools are also located on the property.

Brightwater will feature:

  • 108 single-family cottages (independent living)
  • 134 condominium-style villas (independent living)
  • 26 enhanced-living villas
  • 24 assisted-living rooms
  • 24 skilled-nursing beds
  • 24 memory-care beds

Job duties will include processing payroll, accounts receivable/payable, HR activities, maintaining resident and employee files, and overall support for the Executive Director. The ideal candidate will have a strong administrative background including HR experience/knowledge and excellent verbal & written communication skills. The Wellness Coordinator is responsible for implementing standards of exercise, wellness, and health at the Brightwater community. Overseeing all wellness aspects, this position will create and direct exercise classes for our senior residents.
